Star Spangled Banner - Sunday Game Schedule From Mark Stalker - Tournament Director
OK folks for tomorrow I am only going to give you your first game time. After that you will need to follow the brackets we will have up at the Nash Field. For the most part you are going to be playing one right after another--especially if you lose the first round. However, we can get this done as long as we keep moving. U16 7:30 am Union Grove vs Redbirds Field 1 7:30 am Gremlins vs Kiwanis Field 2 7:30 am Orioles vs Wisconsin Baseball Academy Field 3 7:30 am Bobcats vs Oshkosh Field 4 9 am Valders vs Union Grove/Redbirds winner Field 1 9 am The following will give you an idea of what the rest of the tournament will look like: http://www.printyourbrackets.com/10teamdoubleelimination.html 15U All games field 2 (unless we secure another field--if we do that will be posted at field) 9 am Greendale vs 10:30 am Frozen Ropes vs Huntley noon Here is how the rest of the tournament will look: http://www.printyourbrackets.com/5teamdoubleelimination.html 14U All games Field 4 (unless we secure another field) 9 am Wildcats vs Sidewinders 10:30 Hitmen vs Bombers noon Bandits vs Winner Wildcats/Sidewinders game Here is how the rest of the tournament will look: http://www.printyourbrackets.com/5teamdoubleelimination.html Hope this gives you an idea--at least it gives you a start time. All Championships would start around 6:30 pm--the winner of that game will be declared the champion--you will NOT have to beat the undefeated team twice to win the tournament. I have not secured another local field yet--all are pretty wet as you can imagine. I am still hopeful that I can find one. If I do we would not start using it until after everyone has pretty much played one game. So report to Nash Field. Candy informed me that she is going to change the gate fee to $3 for adults, $2 for students/senior citizens and children 5 and under free. Again, we will not allow coolers and carry-ins--please let your teams know!!! The rain stopped about 10 am, but we still do not have the needed sunshine. It's coming I'm told--but if we don't get any more rain we can get the fields going. They may be soft for the 7:30 and 9 am games, but by noon they will be perfect. We will not put teams on unsafe fields. If we think they are not playable we will make that decision by 10 pm tonight. If any local teams want to help getting the fields ready please come out to Nash around 2 pm and bring a garden rake if you have one. If you have an ATV or Gator bring that out also--we have one, but we blew the engine on one of ours. Thanks, Mark Stalker Tournament Director
